DISCOVER

We will start by developing a questionnaire in order to glean information, and insights from you. We will learn more about your business, your competitors and conduct our due diligence. We submerge into the answers and see what floats to the top. We find hidden messages that may have been overlooked. This step will help to ensure that what we produce is not only creatively excellent, but strategically targeted.

DEFINE

BRAND DEVELOPMENT DOCUMENT

This written dociment will clarify the information gathered in the Discovery phase and define clear project goals. We will outline the positioning, the promise, target audience, emotional impact, key attributes, review what the customer wants/needs, etc. and define the design direction and tone.

PROFILE PAGE

This is a collage or series of pages (which used to be called boards) put together as a way to visualize the meaning of the brand. This exercise serves as helpful reminder to the key decision makers that it is not about their personal taste and allows them to see the brand through the eyes of their intended market.

INSPIRATION PAGE

This collage defines the company’s visual direction and brand personality. This is a way to give loose parameters to the direction of the design.

 

DESIGN

We will develop design directions for your review and approval. For the most part, they will reflect the attributes described in the approved Brand Development Document. During this phase, an overall look and feel will be designed. This design system may be applied concurrently to a mock business card in order for to reflect decisions made with respect to color palette, pattern, and/or typography.

VISUAL VOCABULARY

Together, the logomark, other graphic design elements, photographic style and color palette will form the basis for the visual vocabulary, which will then translate to all communication efforts.

 

IMPLEMENT

This step ensures consistent implementation of your communications whether it is packaging, websites, collateral, etc.
