Music Reports has pioneered music rights administration for over 20 years.
They were in serious need of an upgrade that more appropriately represents that they are a major player in the accountability of music field. Special Modern Design created brand strategy, naming, identity, trade show and site design for them.
Often we draw parallels from an already established brand. This approach helps propel the meaning of the brand beyond graphics and becomes easier to imply the feeling we want to convey. Keeping that in mind as we go forward.
The icon’s story is twofold: the bars represent the accounting side of the company resembling a graph, and this mark can also be seen as equalizer bars that play to the auditory aspect of the business.
